Welcome to the University of New Hampshire IEEE Student Branch
About The IEEE The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is a professional society dedicated to helping advance global prosperity by promoting the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electrical and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. The UNH Student Chapter The IEEE Student Chapter at UNH is dedicated to helping students become creative, productive, professional engineers. One of the our main goals is to give students exposure to internship and co-op opportunities. We do this by arranging guest lecturers, informational sessions, and tours of nearby engineering firms. We also give students the opportunity to get real design experience by participating in IEEE design competitions. In the past these have included activities like the Micromouse and the Computer Society International Design Competition. Also, the UNH chapter of IEEE hopes to foster the kinmanship of UNH EEs and ECEs of all years and ages. Anyone between graduate students and freshmen can come together to share their in and out-of classroom experience in a number of social activities, as well as formal and casual meetings.
